Marching Orders – March 29, 2026
Series: Journey’s End / New Start – Palm Sunday

Scripture: Matthew 21:1–14; Isaiah 50:4–9

Palm Sunday is more than a celebration—it is a turning point. As Jesus enters Jerusalem, He does so with intention, humility, and purpose. While the crowd cries out “Hosanna,” longing for immediate rescue, Jesus reveals a different kind of salvation—one that comes through humility, obedience, and the cross. In this moment, we are reminded that faith is not only about receiving salvation but also about being sent as part of God’s answer to the world's cries.

Key Themes

  • Small acts of obedience open the way for God’s greater purpose
  • Jesus is a different kind of King—marked by humility, not power
  • “Hosanna” is both a cry for help and a confession of faith
  • We are saved not only from something, but for something
  • God sends us to be part of the answer to others’ prayers

Takeaway

We don’t just shout “Hosanna”—we carry it. As Christ saves us, He also sends us to live as His presence in the world, becoming part of God’s answer to someone else’s cry for help.
